Ugochi and Folarin were joined by more than 400 guests gathered in Rome for their epic Nigerian wedding. Family and friends travelled from around the world to share in two days of celebrations.
Ugochi’s preparations took place at The St. Regis Rome, a late 1800’s historic palazzo with refreshed contemporary interiors is a favourite for travellers who are seeking the comforts of home abroad with a high stellar rating.
The gardens of Relais Appia Antica Villa hosted the pre-wedding celebration and gave the wedding video a stately and glossy finish. Set within a large, elegantly landscaped park along one of Rome’s most historically significant roads known to the ancient Romans as the Regina Viarum (“Queen of Roads”), this Via linked Rome to southern Italy once upon a time in the ancient past. All perfect ingredients for the stuff of film.
For their wedding, the couple chose Villa Miani, with its sweeping views over the city and St. Peter’s Basilica. Here, they celebrated their marriage while incorporating cherished Nigerian traditions. After dinner, the festivities continued with a DJ set.
